The annual Encuentro hosted by the Virginia Latino Higher Education Network (VALHEN) includes an all-star panel, "Latinos Ready to Lead," featuring some of Virginia's noted Hispanic leaders. The session will be moderated by former elected school board trustee Dawn McCoy who is also author of Leadership Building Blocks: An Insider's Guide to Success.

Dawn will also sign copies of Leadership Building Blocks, seven timeless strategies along with her audio CD entitled Effective Community Engagement: Seven Strategies to Make A Real Difference.

McCoy is a graduate of Howard University and Georgetown Public Policy Institute.
