Manna Ko began a career in the 1980’s as an entrepreneur in a few small business ventures. She found her passion in the real estate industry in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, where for a period of time she was not only a top agent and broker in her home city, but across the country.

After moving with her son to the United States in the late 1990s, Ko built several other successful businesses that provided marketing, strategy and systems development, personal and professional consulting, and strategic partnerships to small and large businesses around the country.

Ko is passionate about helping people live extraordinary lives, prosper through chaos, be a forerunner with unseen opportunities, lead under pressure, and deliver results while fulfilling their dreams and calling. She is a sought after educator, speaker, trainer, and counselor.

As a Social Entrepreneur, visionary, strategizer, and organizer, Ko finds, establishes, and shares extraordinary business models whose inherent values, intentions, and alliances are congruent with socially responsible, sustainable, and im­pactful visions and missions.

Ko is conversant in four languages and lectures throughout the USA and Canada, leading both business develop­ment and personal development workshops for individuals, groups and corporations. Phil Cooke

Phil Cooke is a writer, speaker, filmmaker, and media consultant who’s work focuses on helping clients navigate the tremendous change happening in our culture today. He’s produced television programming in more than 40 countries around the world, particularly documenting significant humanitarian projects on a global basis. A founding partner in the commercial production company TWC Films (twcfilms.com), he produces national advertising for some of the largest companies in the country, including two TV commercials for Super Bowl 2008. Currently, TWC is behind the national MasterCard campaign, and the first national TV advertising campaign for Starbucks.

His real passion is in the non-profit and religious world where his media company, Cooke Pictures (cookepictures. com), advises many of the largest and most effective non-profit and religious organizations in the world. “Christianity Today” magazine has called him a “media guru.” His work has been profiled in the New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN has referred to him as: “The only working producer in Hollywood with a Ph.D. in Theology.”

His book “Branding Faith” and online blog at philcooke.com are changing the way religious organizations tell their story. He’s lectured at universities like Yale, University of California at Berkeley, UCLA, and is an adjunct professor at the King’s College & Seminary and Biola University in Los Angeles. His new book “Jolt: The Power of Intentional Change in a World that’s Constantly Changing” will be published by Thomas Nelson Publishers and released in January 2011.

Bobbye Brooks is co-founder and CEO of Media 4 Women Enterprises, Inc., a California corporation uniquely designed to promote businesses and organizations through strategic marketing and media de­velopment. Bobbye also co-founded Daily Disciples Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in San Diego, California. Gary has been involved in leadership since the 1960’s. Gary challenges us to think differently, and to experience life and God differently. Although Gary has been a church leader and dean in formal ministry, he now serves his community as a mentor, coach, and speaker, reaching as many people as possible, through his international church planting network called “Permission Ministries” and Third Day Churches, Inc. Loreane Tomlinson

Loreane Tomlinson was born into a rural life on the outskirts of Marlin, Texas. The small house she shared there with her parents, three sisters, and a brother lacked many modern conveniences. But the children were raised on the Bible, strong discipline, and a lot of love. These principles forged a strong drive in her that she carried into her adult life. However, the simple country life Loreane knew and loved did not prepare her for the changes she would face while raising her own three children, Londria, LaDainian, and LaVar. Especially when LaDainian’s love of football catapulted him into the position of superstar running back of the San Diego Chargers, taking her with him every step of the way. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect to be on television programs like 60 Minutes, or to be making commercials for the likes of Campbell’s soup and Visio, or to be giving countless interviews to radio sta­tions and publications like Sports Illustrated. Loreane currently lives in San Diego, California, is an ordained minister, dabbles in real estate, speaks on being a Champion to schools and organizations, and is the founder of San Deigo’s Business Women’s Magazine with a readership of almost 100,000 businesses and industries. She is an author, an encourager, a tremendous networker, and has helped numerous businesses reach their audience.

  • Tickets are for the entire weekend.  Tickets are not sold for individual days.  In order to make this an extraordinary event for you, it is CRITICAL that you RSVP for the THURSDAY NIGHT EVENT, SPECIFICALLY.  This is to ensure that we are fully prepared to create a wonderful experience for you.  On the right hand side of the invitation, 3rd box down, there is a link that says "contact host".  Please simply write "YES TO THURSDAY NIGHT EVENT" and provide your name If you are purchasing a block of tickets, please include the names of each attendee. 
  • The first 200 registrants will receive a multi-strand Fresh Water Pearl necklace, as a special gift from Manna For Life and The DIamond Boutique.  Each necklace has a retail value of $130! One necklace per family/household.
  • The first 250 registrants will receive priority seating.  This event is expected to sell out quickly, so please purchase your tickets quickly.
  • If you are purchasing a block of tickets in advance, the names of the individual registrants must be submitted to the host no later than 2 days prior to the event at info@mannaforlife.com.  Registrants must sign in at registration to receive their entry wrist-bands.  Attendees must wear their wrist bands throughout the entire event.
  • Refunds are permitted until 11:59pm PST, July 1, 2010 with a $50 administration fee for each ticket refunded.  Due to the size of this event and the associated costs, we are unable to refund tickets after this time.

Registration Terms and Conditions:  Note: Conference program and event schedules are subject to change.

Substitutions, Changes, Cancellation and Refund Policies:  Substitutions and Changes: Substitutions and changes to registration can be made up until 11:59 pm PST on July 1, 2010, which is 28 days prior to the start of The Big Event ("The Big Event" or "Conference").  Registrants of The Big Event (the "Registrants") cannot "share" a Conference pass.

Cancellations and No-Shows: Cancellations for The Big Event must be made in writing and sent to info@mannaforlife.com no later than 11:59 pm PST on July 1, 2010 to receive a refund of registration fee. All Conference cancellations made on or before 11:59 pm PST on July 1, 2010, are subject to a cancellation fee of US$50.

There will be no refunds for cancellations received after 11:59 pm PST on July 1, 2010.  Registrants who have not cancelled on or before 11:59 pm PST on July 9, 2010 will be liable for the full registration fee, and must pay any outstanding balance within 30 business days of date of invoice.  In case of transmission difficulties or other technical problems related to registration or emailed written notification, please call 760-942-9022 or email info@beatthebigevent.com to notify the registrar of The Big Event.

Other Terms and Conditions of The Big Event:  

Program Events and Presentations - Manna For Life and/or The Manna Ko Group (herein referred to as the “company”) reserves the right to make any changes to the program in its sole discretion. Every effort will be made to keep presentations and speakers as represented. However, unforeseen circumstances may result in the substitution of one or more presentation topic(s) or speaker(s). 

In the event that The Big Event has to be cancelled or changed due to events beyond the company’s control or due to circumstances which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the conference organizers, the company and The Big Event organizers will not be held liable to Registrants for any damages, losses or costs incurred, including but not limited to transportation and accommodation costs.  The company is not liable for changes in program date, content, speakers or venue.  The opinions to be expressed in the presentations shall be the opinions of the speaker and shall not represent the opinions of the organizers of The Big Event, including without limitation, the company, and its service providers and their respective and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and employees. 

Please note that while The Big Event organizers will make their best efforts to distribute copies of presentations to all Conference Registrants and Sponsors, some speakers may not want to share their material. Under these circumstances, The Big Event organizers will respect the wishes of the speakers and withhold copies of their presentations.

Also please note that the theme of The Big Event is influenced by religious and moralistic messages and beliefs which some participants may not agree with.  The organizers of The Big Event do not mean to engage in any sort of proselytism and will make every reasonable effort to accommodate participants in this regard.

The organizers of The Big Event do hope that each and every Registrant is completely satisfied, however, the company makes no guarantee of such satisfaction.  The company shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by you to attend The Big Event, including without limitation, travel, accommodation, or lost opportunity. 

Participation

The company reserves the right to restrict participation in The Big Event at its sole discretion.  Some sessions or events related to The Big Event may involve physical activity all of which is entirely voluntary. 

By attending The Big Event, you agree to release and hold The Big Event organizers and volunteers, and the company, its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents and representatives and each of their officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees (each a "Released Party" and collectively, "Released Parties"), harmless from any and all liability, losses or damages whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, caused by a Released Party (excluding willful or grossly negligent conduct), arising from participation in or in connection with The Big Event.

By agreeing to these Registration Conditions, you release and discharge the company and its service providers and their respective and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and employees from any and all liability, losses or damages resulting from (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of registration data; and (iv) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Conference; or (v) any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with The Big Event.


Consent to Use of Personal Information

By completing and submitting the information requested on The Big Event Registration form to The Manna Ko Group and/or its affiliated companies, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of the information by The Manna Ko Group or its service providers on The Manna Ko Group’s behalf: (i) to administer registration, participation and access to The Big Event; (ii) to contact you after the event(s) for event evaluation purposes and for subsequent event notifications and registrations; (iii) for The Manna Ko Group’s internal use, including without limitation, to: (a) understand and meet your needs and preferences, (b) develop new and enhance existing services and product offerings, and (c) manage and develop The Manna Ko Group’s business and operations; and (iv) for the purposes set out in The Manna Ko Group’s Privacy Policy. Except as set out herein, The Manna Ko Group will not disclose your personal information for marketing or other secondary purposes, although The Manna Ko Group may disclose aggregated, non-identifying data relating to the event for marketing or other purposes.

Notifications to Registrants

The Manna Ko Group collects personal information during the registration process such as name, mailing address, email address and credit card or other payment information in order to collect registration fees and produce entrance badges for Registrants and otherwise administer registration, participation and access to The Big Event.

The Manna Ko Group reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend these Registration Terms & Conditions to remedy administrative, including without limitation, typographical errors.

The Manna Ko Group may film, photograph or audio record portions of The Big Event, including lectures and interactions in common areas. These recordings may be archived and used for educational and commercial purposes. By attending, Registrant consents to The Manna Ko Group’s global and perpetual use of his or her name, photograph, recorded voice and statements ("Information") in whole or in part, in all media and/or distribution formats, now known and hereafter developed for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, publicity, educational, sales, trade, and promotional purposes, with no right of approval and no right to compensation. Registrant releases and discharges The Manna Ko Group from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and/or other liability arising from or relating to use of the Information.  The Manna Ko Group shall be the exclusive owner of any and all rights, title and interest, including, without limitation, copyright, electronic and distribution rights, in and to any materials containing the Information created by or on behalf of The Manna Ko Group, in any form.

Registrants must have reached the age of majority in their respective state, province or territory of residence in order to register for The Big Event.
